fragM@gamecon: Saturday November 1st to Sunday November 2nd '08

fragM and Game'08 have come together to bring you a rocking LAN party at a massive 1500-person war and strategy gaming convention. Due to the large nature of the event your fragM ticket will also give you access to the amazing facilities at gamecon. Namely, a large bar area at the top of the building, a huge array of non-lan gaming (not on the computer you say? Gasp!) and all located in the heart of Fallowfield, Central Manchester at the Armitage Centre.

Cost

Tickets are available at the price of £31 for the whole weekend. This ticket also includes access to the excellent Game'08 convention. Be sure to check out their website to see if there's anything else there you want to register for :)

Venue

fragM@gamecon will be held at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield, Central Manchester. It's a very short drive from the centre of town and the train stations and there is frequent bus and taxi services running throughout the night.

Directions

Do not use the postcode (M14 6HE) with a Sat-Nav device. The postcode is associated with a nearby hotel and will take you down a narrow road that will not lead you to the venue. Please see the gamecon website for more explicit instructions.

Arrivals

The doors will be open from 10 AM on Saturday. Please note that you will need to queue to gain complete your registration with the Game'08 staff. Once you have done this, you can continue to the LAN gaming/fragM room and we will issue you with your badge pass and provide information regarding unloading your PC. As ever, you will receive details /re the fragM mobile shortly before the event, which you can always call if you have any questions.

Venue Rules

As per UK law, smoking is not permitted inside. Alcohol is available in the bar, though we ask that attendees do not drink to excess as PC equipment is expensive :) Anyone found to be in an unfit state to continue may be ejected from the event at fragM/gamecon organisers discretion.

Local Amenities

Fallowfield has a huge selection of take-aways and local shops nearby. There is a Sainsburys, Kwiksave and Iceland within walking distance. In regards to take-aways, there is a McDonalds, BurgerKing, Dominos and many independant retailers all very close by.
